Dr James is an experienced GP with a broad international background and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. Born and bred in London, he trained at the Royal London Medical College before going on to work in the UK, Spain, Africa and Papua New Guinea, as well as serving as a Cruise Ship Doctor, before settling in Australia in 2008. Dr James brings particular expertise in general medicine, minor surgery, travel medicine and Aboriginal Health, drawing on the diverse clinical experience he has gained across these varied settings.
Outside of the clinic, Dr James enjoys spending his spare time helping his wife Rachel on their hobby farm.
David Christiansen is an experienced business development manager and has held numerous senior leadership positions, including sales management, general management and director roles with full P&L responsibility. Having lived and worked in 6 countries throughout Asia and the Middle East working for major multinationals, David understands and enjoys the variety and challenges associated with executing strategy to drive revenue and deliver exceptional value to clients.
David has a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and is an accredited Business Storyteller with Anecdote in Australia.
Rex Phung is an experienced engineering leader with nearly 20 years in software development and more than 10 years in technical leadership. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering, with broad experience across software, hardware, embedded systems, IoT, cloud and large-scale applications.
Rex combines technical depth, strategic vision and pragmatic execution to deliver business outcomes. He believes exceptional technology is built by empowered teams with a bold mindset, customer focus, mutual trust, clear accountability, open communication and a commitment to continuous learning and technical transformation.
Darian is an experienced clinical leader with over five years of nursing experience across hospital and primary care settings, specialising in brain and spinal injury rehabilitation, general practice nursing, and minor surgical procedures. She holds multiple healthcare qualifications and combines strong clinical expertise with operational leadership, overseeing provider onboarding, compliance requirements, clinical governance processes, and the management of complaints and quality-related matters to help maintain excellence across the organisation’s clinical services.
Darian is passionate about continuous improvement, provider support, and quality care, and is committed to fostering a high-performing clinical workforce that delivers safe, effective, and patient-focused healthcare outcomes.
Tamara leads brand, marketing, communications, and growth initiatives at Doctors on Demand that support the delivery of accessible, high-quality virtual healthcare across Australia.
With extensive experience in healthcare marketing and digital strategy, Tamara oversees brand development, patient engagement, content strategy, partnerships, and the launch of new healthcare services. She is passionate about creating meaningful patient experiences and translating complex health information into clear, accessible communications that empower Australians to take charge of their health.
